Pulau Ubin trip will be this Saturday, 23rd Feb 2008 ! :D

Meet up point is at the Changi Bus Terminal at 12.30PM.

Please have your breakfast/lunch first beforehand.

Van/Mini Bus will be provided once we have reached Pulau Ubin.
Going to destinations such as Kampung Chek Jawa etc.

Details (Copied from December's post) :

TO GET THERE :

1. TRAIN TO TANAH MERAH, BUS NO. 2 TO CHANGI VILLAGE, WALK TO JETTY, BUMBOAT RIDE ($2/person, 12humans/boat) TO PULAU UBIN .

2. FROM TAMPINES, BOARD BUS NO. 29 TO CHANGI VILLAGE, WALK TO JETTY, BUMBOAT RIDE($2/person, 12humans/boat) TO PULAU UBIN .

Meeting place for everyone is at the CHANGI BUS TERMINAL.
All of us will take the bumboat together.

TO EAT THERE :
1. ENCIK ALI'S EATING - Simple variety of dishes (eg. fried fish, chicken curry) and traditional Malay specialities (eg. Mee Rebus, Mee Siam, Lontong) .
2. UBIN FIRST STOP - Serves seafood and other interesting local specialities including wild boar (o.O!) .
3. A NUMBER OF DRINK STALLS (to cater to daytrippers) - Fresh cold drink, from a can or even a coconut .

"UBIN FIRST STOP" IS NOT HALAL, THEREFORE IT'S EITHER WE :
1. Eat at separate places .
2. Bring our own food .
3. Eat beforehand .

TO DO THERE :
1. CYCLING
2. APPRECIATING NATURE
3. FISHING (Bring your own baits & rods)

ATTIRE :
1) Top : Tshirts. Class Tshirt. As long as it is comfortable.
2) Bottom : No micro mini skirts. No working pants. Again, anything comfortable. Bermudas, Track pants are allowed.
3) Shoes : Comfortable walking shoes such as sports shoes, school schools, sandals, kitten pumps. No heels (Doh)

WHAT TO BRING :
1) Your Identification card OR Ezlink Card. (IMPORTANT!)
2) If you're prone to asthma attacks, please bring your inhaler or medicine.
3) MONEY. Approximately $10 or more.
4) A small bag/pouch. No one is going to carry your things for you! Hee hee.
5) Water bottle.
6) Your handphone with a charged battery -.-

IF, YOU WANT TO BRING (Not going to force you to bring these items) :
1) Sunblock
2) Sunglasses/Sunnies/Aviators etc
3) A small umbrella
4) Handiplast/Plasters
5) Tissue papers.
6) Torch lights. (Haha)
7) Insect repellent creams/Mopiko

1. Below 18 years old, requires parental consent to play.
2. Expensive ; $250 for 1000 paintballs etc.

More details :-

Ice skating : Jurong East Mrt station. Costs around $16 if you enter in groups of 4 (Unlimited time). Costs $12, with a Student Pass (2 hours only).

Pulau Ubin trip : *Scroll below for the post/information on Pulau Ubin trip*

Prawning : Will be done at night. (If done during the daytime, walao, we'll be the one barbequed.) Costs around $15 for 1 hour, $30 for 2.5 hours, $36-40 for 4 hours. Etc, depending on where we are prawning. REMEMBER: This is for the experience. Locations such as Pasir Ris Town Park, Pasir Ris Farmway, Bishan, Marina. Prawns baits are cockles(Malay: Kerang), Chicken heart. NO WORMS/EARTHWORMS, CHICKEN BUTTS. Fishing rods will be provided. After that, can barbeque the prawns that we have caught.

Movie : We'll check out what's coming out ok. $10-$11 on Fridays & Weekends. $10 on Weekdays. Location : It depends.

Eating session : We'll talk about the budget later. BUFFET (Sakura, Ramen Ten, Seoul Garden, Hans River etc), or we can go to Simpang Bedok, Adam Road, Bedok Food Centre, East Coast Lagoon Food Centre, Newton Food Centre.
